قال مصدر جمهوري في الكونجرس الأمريكي ( سوف يكون من المستحيل على دونالد ترامب أن يخوض الإنتخابات الأمريكية المقبلة مجدداً عام 2024 إذا أعتبر خاسراً وعليه تقبل الهزيمة).
الإعتراف بالهزيمة روح رياضية
بعد الإعلان الرسمي عن فوز الديمقراطي جو بايدن بالسباق الرئاسي إلى البيت الأبيض، اتفق الرئيس الجمهوري دونالد ترامب وحلفاؤه على شيء واحد: أنه لا يعتزم الإعتراف بالهزيمة في الوقت الحاضر. وقال الرئيس ترامب في بيان أصدرته حملته: «الحقيقة المجردة هي أن هذه الإنتخابات أبعد ما تكون عن الحسم.
لم يتم التصديق على فوز جو بايدن بأي ولاية، ناهيك عن الولايات التي شهدت منافسة حامية والتي تتجه إلى إعادة الفرز الإلزامي، أو الولايات التي قدمت حملتنا طعوناً قانونية سليمة ومشروعة فيها».
وأقر حلفاء ومستشارو الرئيس في أحاديث خاصة بأن فرصة في قلب نتيجة الإنتخابات والبقاء في البيت الأبيض ضئيلة. وبينما يستعدون للإعتراف بالهزيمة في نهاية المطاف، فقد دعوا إلى مزيد من الوقت حتى إستنفاد الطعون القانونية الحالية.
وحذر جمهوريون من خارج البيت الأبيض من أن الرئيس ترامب يمكن أن يشوه إرثه إذا لم يخرج في النهاية بشكل مشرف، ويقوض نفوذه السياسي في المستقبل. وقال مصدر جمهوري في الكونغرس «سيكون من المستحيل بالنسبة له أن يخوض الانتخابات مجدداً في 2024 إذا اعتبر خاسراً يفتقر للروح الرياضية».
وقال آري فلايشر الذي كان السكرتير الصحفي للبيت الأبيض في إدارة جورج بوش الابن: «من حق الرئيس ترامب أن يقضي الوقت الذي يريده لاستيعاب هذا. لقد كان سباقاً متقارباً ومن غير المفيد المطالبة بإقرار فوري بالهزيمة».
وأضاف «أفضل ما يمكن عمله للحفاظ على تماسك هذا البلد هو إعطاء الرئيس فترة زمنية معقولة للقبول بالنتائج». وقال مستشار سابق في البيت الأبيض إن نائب الرئيس مايك بنس سيتولى مهمة إبلاغ الرئيس عندما يحين وقت الإقرار بالهزيمة أو سيفعل ذلك صهره وكبير مستشاريه جاريد كوشنر.
وخسرت حملة ترامب الإنتخابية بالفعل معارك قضائية في ولايات إحتدمت فيها المنافسة مثل جورجيا ونيفادا لكنها حققت نجاحاً في ولاية بنسلفانيا، الجمعة، عندما أمرت محكمة مسؤولي الانتخابات بإبطال أصوات أدلى بها في يوم الانتخابات ناخبون صوتوا بالبريد أو عن طريق الإنترنت ووصلت أصواتهم متأخرة.
وأمضى الرئيس ترامب صباح أمس السبت في نادي الغولف الخاص به في فيرجينيا، عندما أعلنت وسائل الإعلام الكبرى فوز منافسه جو بايدن بالرئاسة، والتقى بعروس فالتقط معها الصور. بعد الإعلان عن فوز الديمقراطي جو بايدن بالسباق إلى البيت الأبيض، اتفق الرئيس الجمهوري دونالد ترامب وحلفاؤه على شيء واحد: أنه لا يعتزم الاعتراف بالهزيمة قريباً.

“President Trump has the right to spend as much time digesting this as he wants,” said Ari Fleischer, who was the White House press secretary in the George W. Bush administration. It was a close race and it was useless to demand an immediate admission of defeat.
“The best thing that can be done to preserve the cohesion of this country is to give the president a reasonable period of time to accept the results,” he added.
A former White House adviser said Vice President Mike Pence would be tasked with informing the president when the time came to concede defeat or his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
Trump’s campaign has already lost court battles in hotly contested states such as Georgia and Nevada, but it was successful in Pennsylvania on Friday, when a court ordered election officials to nullify votes cast on Election Day by voters who voted by mail or via the Internet and their votes came late.
